We are currently recruiting for a full-time ‘Production Assistant’ to work within our in-house Preparation and Production Departments. An enthusiastic approach and attention to detail is essential for this role.
The role involves:
- Preparation of cable assemblies
- Prepare surfaces of various types of material
- Packing items to commercial standards
- Reading and understanding written works instructions, drawings and other manufacturing documentation
- Physically capable of manual handling and moving equipment
- Able to work on a variety of intricate products.
- Ability to work alone, or as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail is vital.
- Keen to learn and self-motivated.
- Due to the location of the business, a full UK driving license is required
- Hours: 08.00 to 17.15 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 13.00 Friday
- Over-time may be required.
- Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.
- Pension scheme
- Salary: (under 21) £20,000pa, (over 21) £25,396pa

As our all-round IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and troubleshooting the company's IT systems and infrastructure. Key responsibilities:
- User Support: Provide first- and second-line support for hardware, software, and networking issues.

- System Administration: Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, device management tools (MDM), and other SaaS platforms.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and manage security measures including backups, antivirus, patch management, and access controls.
- Procurement & Asset Management: Source and set up new hardware/software, maintain an up-to-date inventory.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up accounts and devices for new starters, manage exits securely.
- Projects: Lead small-scale IT projects (e.g., system upgrades, migrations, office moves).
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Innovation: Identify opportunities for IT improvements to enhance business operations.
- Proven experience in an IT generalist, systems administrator, or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Windows and Linux environments.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Cloud services and SaaS applications.
- Virtualisation environment.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with backup solutions, endpoint management, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues independently.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and attention to detail.
- Due to the location of the business, a full UK driving license is required.
- Experience of Cyber Essentials Accreditation.
