Manual Lathe Machinist, Turning and Milling - Skilled Role Full Time

We are looking for a full-time ‘Manual Machinist’ to expand our team within our in-house Machine Shop at our Kelk site (near Driffield, YO25).

Due to the specialist nature of our products, we manufacture our own products and parts, making one-offs, prototypes and small to medium production batches. An enthusiastic approach and attention to detail is all that is required as part of this role.

The role involves:

  • Manual lathes and milling machines.
  • Ability to manufacture parts to tight tolerances and complete parts to our high standards.
  • Reading and understanding written work instructions, drawings and other manufacturing documentation.
Desirable Skills/Relevant Experience:
  • Applicants must be time served with 3 – 4 years’ experience (preferred).
  • Able to work on a variety of intricate products.
  • Ability to work alone, or as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail is vital.
  • Keen to learn and be self-motivated.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Due to the location of the business, a full UK driving license is required.
Salary £26,500 to £31,500 p/a dependent on experience.
The successful applicant will be required to pass security clearance.
Hours: 08.00 to 17.15 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 13.00 Friday (no weekends).
Overtime may be required.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays).
